In 2013 the Miss Gladys Sym Choon store will be 90 years young. It was opened by a teenage Gladys in 1923 and has remained a destination for Adelaide’s fashion Cognescenti since.

Joff and Razak who took over the business in 1985 were inspired by the awesome, if a bit dated, shop and it’s enormous stock of luxury items from the orient.

Today is a fashion shrined dedicated to Gladys and sourcing unique clothing footwear and accessories from around Australia and the world.

The collection is huge and fills three levels to the rafters. It includes Razaks own evening wear designed and made adjacent to the store.

Australian brands like Deus ex machina, Mollini, and Maocchi and international brands like GStar and United Nude.

The choices for both men and women are diverse as they are extravagant and the Miss Gladys Sym Choon store deserves it’s reputation as ‘the house of plenty’.

For 26 years, Joff and Razak have lived in Glady’s apartment also adjacent to the store. They are in contact with their customer and their staff daily and they provide a level of service no longer found in the cookie-cutter world of chain stores.

The Miss Gladys Sym Choon store is not only a uniquely generous fashion outlet, but a local store that has served the community for nearly 90 years.
